I have received email upon email asking for info on Pennsylvania and Arkansas Smedleys and on the families of Smedley spouses.I haven't been able to prove a connection with the PA or AR Smedleys yet, so I have no info on them. Also, I only trace forward on spouses (I don't have their parents', grandparents', siblings', etc. info.
If you are unfamiliar with how to read a genealogy chart, let me explain. #1 is the patriarch of the family (at least as far as I have been able to trace it). Under him is his wife. #2's are his children and under them, their spouses. #3's are his grandchildren and spouses and #4's are his great-grandchildren and their spouses. The 4's are listed immediately under the 3 which is their parent, and so on backwards up the chart. Confused yet? Let me explain again, using the first names on the chart: Ida G. Smedley married Montiful B. Mutters. Ida's siblings are S.S., Nannie, Anna, Edward and Hulda. Their parents are Aaron and Mary. Aaron's parents are Samuel and Delilah and Samuel's parents are Samuel and Mary. Aaron's siblings are the other #3's.
